Kanye West - All Of The Lights (feat. Everyone)
I am horribly out of touch. Well, not really but I have this aversion to listening to albums or artists that get a lot of hype as it’s happening, which both enhances aloofness, and makes it seem like I lack access to the Internet and any print publications. This is only worsened when I drink heavily at parties and blurt out something along the lines of “Arcade Fire! Pretty good!”

That said: Holy Fuck. This song. This album! Fuck. I downloaded it yesterday because I had $3 in Amazon MP3 credits I needed to spend (I won’t get into how long it took me to decide on a single, because I found it difficult to process paying for a single when I could have it for free. Nevermind, that I was already getting it gratis.).
Paid for the track, listened to it mouth agape, then proceeded to send it to everyone I know, particularly a musically inclined co-worker and for about an hour we went through the song seeing if we could pick out each guest contribution. There are a million of them.
I don’t know how to review music aside from Ears like/ Ears hate. So I’ll just say this album is swagger riding in a car with swagger, a Möbius strip of insecurities, an Escher painting of fame.
I’m just holding my head.
