Mount Sims - How We Do
Brenna and I had a college radio show for about 3- 4 years at UCSC and man alive did we play a lot of bad stuff, and the vast majority of the stuff we played I can’t listen to anymore because it gives me such embarassment. But this song? This song right here? I can’t even front. It just conjurs up such wonderful feelings of being in Santa Cruz, the radio station, close friends, getting ready for parties, all those fuzzy feelings you get when you think of your buds.
Sometimes, of course, I wish there was a better song that could encapsulate the best parts of that era, but as I’ve gotten older and given less of a shit about what others think of my music tastes the more I realize that this will probably always be my jam.
